Harvest Festival 2018
Some absolutely delicious country cooking will, once again, be available during this year’s Harvest Festival Central Coast. Everyone knows how brilliantly the ladies from the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW can cook! They will be ably assisted by members of MMUC.
The ever-so-popular café at “The Little White Church on the Hill” will have a wonderful array of items on the menu. Choose from Devonshire tea/coffee, with cream and locally made jams and Mangrove Mountain Rhubarb Cake for morning and afternoon tea, or soup (made from local ingredients) and home-made sausage rolls for lunch – just to name a few. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will also be on hand.
Come for a relaxing break in the comfortably warm and dry church hall, or have a picnic under the beautiful gums on the church property. There is plenty of parking and toilet facilities are available.
Jams, pickles and relish, supplied by the local ladies of the CWA, will also be available for the discerning buyers.
The cafe will be open both days (June 9th and 10th) from 10 am to 4 pm.
Look at our Facebook page for more information.
The cafe will not be the only event run by MMUC to be operating throughout the Harvest Festival. Due to its success last year, Mangrove Mountain Union Church (MMUC) will be holding another plant sale on both Saturday 9th June and Sunday 10th June, from 10 am to 4 pm. There is a variety of good quality plants, with exceptional prices to ensure that everyone is more than happy with their purchases.
Some local produce will also be on sale.
100% of proceeds will go towards the upkeep of our community-owned historical church.
Incredible thanks must go to our sponsors:
