Gunnadoos Get It Done!
The Mangrove Mountain Union Church hall is home to a crafty group of ladies called the Gunnadoos. Every Monday morning (except for public holidays) they meet to sew, knit, crochet and generally create beautiful items.
From time to time they put their artistic energies into a fund-raising project. Recently the Gunnadoos completed a magnificent queen-sized quilt which they have donated to MMUC to raise funds for the upkeep of the church property.
The quilt was officially handed over by Gunnadoo representatives Glenys Palmer and Barbara Chapman to the President of MMUC, Neil Hockings, this afternoon.
Raffle tickets are on sale now for $2 or 6 for $10. They can be purchased on any Monday morning at MMUC from 10 am to 12 noon, or phone 0425313433 to obtain tickets.
The raffle will be drawn on September 29 during the Poets’ Breakfast (watch this space for more details later on!)
The winner will be notified by phone and announcements will be placed in the Community News as well as on this Facebook page.
