In April 2015 Sydney and the Central Coast were deluged by wild storms and damaging winds. Mangrove Mountain Union Church hall, in the path of those winds, suffered some stuctural damage as the hall was literally pushed in a north-westerly direction causing the piers beneath the hall to crack. Fortunately the hall was deemed to be safe. An insurance assessment was requested to determine what restoration work would be required, if any.
The insurance company agreed that this damage was a legitimate claim and so restoration activity has finally begun to ensure that the hall remains totally safe for all users.
As work progresses, updates can be located on the 2016 Renovation page of this website.
